Jessica Lytle Gains Educational Work Experience at Special Event
2011 Nov 11
Jessica Lytle of Mooresville, was one of seven William Peace University students coordinating the screening of "Certain Proof: A Question of Worth," a documentary highlighting three Wake County Schools students and their disabilities at The Friday Center in Chapel Hill on Nov. 2.
Lytle, who is currently pursuing a dual licensure in elementary education K-6 and special education: general curriculum K-12, served as a greeter and usher during the screening.
Carolann Wade, Wake County's teacher liaison at William Peace University, said working the event was a good experience for the students.
"They got to interact with those very exceptional needs students," she said.
The documentary was presented by the New Voices Foundation, a not for profit organization that helps children with severe communication and physical disabilities maximize their learning potential.
