2012 Mar 6

Samantha Pendergraft of Raleigh was among 20 William Peace University students inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Society last month.

Omicron Delta Kappa membership is a mark of highest distinction and honor as only students who rank in the top 35% of their class and have made significant leadership contributions on campus are eligible.

The honor society has recognized more than 60 William Peace University student leaders and faculty since 2009.

The Omicron Delta Kappa Society, Inc., The National Leadership Honor Society for college students, recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character. Fifteen student and faculty leaders founded the society at Washington and Lee University on Dec. 2, 1914.

Omicron Delta Kappa was the first college honor society of a national scope to give recognition for meritorious leadership and service in extracurricular activities. The society is now present on more than 300 college campuses across the country.
