William Peace University receives reaffirmation of SACSCOC accreditation
Raleigh, NC (08/04/2022) — Raleigh, N.C. - William Peace University (WPU) has received reaffirmation of accreditation by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) officials said today.
SACSCOC accreditation must be reaffirmed every 10 years. The reaffirmation demonstrates WPU's commitment to quality and integrity as well as its capacity to provide effective programs and services based on the standards listed in the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement.
The SACSCOC Board met in June and voted to reaffirm accreditation after a thorough review of WPU. The review process includes submission of a Compliance Certification, which addresses WPU's compliance with each of the standards, as well as a site visit conducted by a team of reviewers to ensure compliance. WPU also submitted a detailed Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Building TILEs: Tangible Immersive Learning Experiences, a five-year initiative to support immersive learning across all majors and the internship program. The QEP is designed to enhance student learning and success.
Each of these reviews has its own evaluation documents and peer review procedures and can be found on the SACSCOC website.
WPU will not be required to follow up on any items related to this review.

WPU was first accredited by SACSCOC in 1947 and has maintained accreditation since.
