William Peace University Unveils New Logo and Visual Identity
Raleigh, NC (07/29/2025) — Raleigh, N.C. - Today is the start of a new era at William Peace University. With the launch of a fresh visual identity, the institution is showcasing its focus on innovation and growth while reaffirming its historic roots.
"Peace is a place that has embraced evolution ever since its founding in 1857," said President Lynn Morton. "This new logo tells our story as an institution rooted in tradition and looking to the future."
The new logo features the University's year of inception at the center of a shield representing the connections between students, faculty/staff, and alumni. With a modern garland at the base and an acorn stem at the top, the design honors the institution's lush green campus located in downtown Raleigh. Pairing the shield with the word Peace - the moniker by which the University is most well known - conveys a timeless quality that bridges the past and the future.
Along with the logo, the new visual identity includes a refreshed color palette, typography, and patterns. Peace Green continues to be the primary color of the University.
"After receiving feedback from Peace students, employees, and alumni about the need to better represent this historic University, we are excited to have an identity worthy of this beloved institution," said Morton.
Peace partnered with VisionPoint Marketing, a Raleigh-based higher education marketing agency, to develop the new logo and visual identity. Four listening sessions were held and included faculty, staff, trustees, and alumni. Current students were given the opportunity to contribute through an online survey.
The transition to Peace's new identity has already begun on campus with banners and signage displaying the new logo. The University's website and social media channels also showcase the logo and new merchandise is available in the campus bookstore and coming soon to the online Peace store.
"As we unveil this new logo and visual identity, we celebrate a renewed vision for who we are and where we are headed," said Morton. "It is an exciting time to be part of the Peace community."
