WPU held most successful Day of Giving to date

Raleigh, NC (06/02/2022) — William Peace University is excited to announce that on April 21 we had our most successful Day of Giving to date.

This year, the WPU Community not only met our goal to raise $100,000 with 300 donors but exceeded it and raised more than $104,000 with 341 donors.

Here are some of the 2022 Day of Giving highlights:

More than 80% of gifts received on WPU's Day of Giving were designated to the Loyalty Fund and Student Scholarships.

The University saw the highest participation rate of WPU Faculty, staff, students and parents compared to the previous two Days of Giving.

One courageous gift worth more than $25,000 was committed in support of Day of Giving to provide future scholarship opportunities for students.

Donors supported 30 different funds, and more than $42,000 was designated to the Loyalty Fund.

"I am incredibly humbled and proud of our University community for coming together to make history, claiming April 21, 2022, as our most successful Day of Giving yet!" said Dr. Brian C. Ralph, WPU President. "Thank you for answering the call on our biggest fundraising day of the year to help secure a bright future for our students and to move our University forward."

WPU's Day of Giving is a 24-hour celebration of the power of giving back. Gifts made on Day of Giving help enable our students to build courageous confidence and turn their passion into purpose.
