WPU Hires New Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Raleigh, NC (07/27/2022) — RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace University has hired a new Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Belinda Burke, CPA, CMA, CCE, will join the University as Vice President for Administration/CFO on Sept. 1, 2022.

Burke is the Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC. Previously, Burke served as Vice President of Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer and Director of Financial Reporting at Wesley College in Dover, Del. Before these roles, Belinda was a Senior Vice President and Financial Officer in banking.

"I am really excited to have Belinda joining the WPU Community and the Senior Leadership Team of the University," said WPU President Brian C. Ralph. "Her outstanding experience and background are the perfect fit for helping WPU continue its forward progress."

The Vice President for Administration/CFO is responsible for providing strategic vision and oversight of the University's financial operations and campus infrastructure, working closely with the President, Board of Trustees, and faculty and administration members.

The CFO manages the University's accounting purchasing, contracting, budget development, financial modeling and forecasting, and investment management. The role also oversees facilities, public safety, information technology, and human resources.
